Job summary

Riverbridge Primary School is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our popular wraparound care team. The role runs term-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–9:00am, with an actual salary of £4,389 (FTE £25,133).

The successful candidate will help create a stimulating, safe, and hygienic breakfast club environment, support children with social development, and assist with setting up activities. Training and safeguarding are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• NVQ2/3 childcare qualification (desirable).
• High level of personal and emotional resilience.
• Lots of patience and the capacity to be flexible.
• Ability and confidence to use initiative whilst respecting advice from professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide a stimulating, caring environment with a healthy breakfast.
• Ensure the breakfast club is a safe environment for children.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety standards across all activities.
• Set up and put away equipment for activities.
• Administer first aid as appropriate.
• Support the aims and ethos of the school and implement breakfast club policies.
