Job summary

St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Thornaby, is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our team. The role involves organizing the before-school provision, ensuring a safe, caring environment, and providing engaging activities for children.

This is a permanent, term-time position offering 6.25 hours per week. The candidate should have experience with children; Level 2/3 qualification and pediatric first aid are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and pediatric first aid certificates are desirable, but not essential.
• Experience of working with children is preferred.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and spoken English are expected.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day organisation of the before school provision.
• Provide high standards of care and play opportunities in a safe environment.
• Support pupils’ learning needs and engagement.
• Demonstrate good behaviour management and communication with pupils.

We are looking to recruit a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our current team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the before school provision, providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children in a safe and secure environment.

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and pediatric first aid certificates are desirable, but not essential, and we welcome applications from candidates with experience of working with children of school age.
