Job summary

Woolmer Hill School is seeking an enthusiastic Breakfast Club supervisor to help prepare nutritious breakfasts, supervise pupils and ensure a safe, orderly start to the day.

You will work with staff to plan activities, promote positive behaviour, support wellbeing, and follow the school's safety and child protection policies.

Qualifications

• Puts children first and acts in their best interests.
• Assists with planning a varied programme of activities.
• Supervises and leads children in games and activities, encouraging good behaviour.
• Takes responsibility for health and safety and emergency procedures.
• Follows the school's Child Protection policy.
• Assists with setting out/clearing equipment and maintains confidentiality.
• Participates in staff training and responds to reasonable requests.
• Works in a team with other staff.
• Supervises pupils in lunch hall and lunchtime activities.

Breakfast Club

• Prepare and serve simple, nutritious breakfasts in line with food hygiene standards
• Ensure the Breakfast Club runs smoothly and safely
• Supervise children before the start of the school day
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
• Lunchtime Supervision
• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, both in the dining hall and playground
• Promote a happy, calm and inclusive lunchtime atmosphere
• Encourage good manners, positive play and healthy eating
• Support children's wellbeing and ensure their safety at all times

We are looking for someone who:

• Puts children first- at the heart of everything you do;
• Takes part in the planning of and oversee a varied programme of activities.
• Supervises, leads and assists children in games and activities whilst encouraging good behaviour in accordance with the core values of the school.
• Takes responsibility, along with other staff, for the health and safety, accident prevention and smooth running of emergency procedures for both children and other members of staff.
• Understands and follows the school's Child Protection policy.
• Assists with the setting out and clearing up of any equipment.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Takes part in staff training as offered.
• Carries out any reasonable requests from designated Line Manager or SLT.
• Works within a team with other staff.
• Supervises, leads and assists children in the lunch hall.

The hours would be as follows - 7.45 - 8.45am - Breakfast Club - Monday to Friday Week 1 11.55 - 1.10pm - Lunchtime - Tuesday and Thursday Week 2 11.55 - 1.10pm - Lunchtime - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
