The Derby Midland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western, is seeking a Breakfast Chef for weekend/part-time shifts to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook breakfast items, ensuring high presentation and quality while supporting clean, efficient service.

You will maintain hygiene standards, assist with stock and supplier management, and help train junior staff as needed. The role offers on-site work with employee discounts and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Has experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Enjoys early shifts and routine of breakfast service.

• Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, pastries and other breakfast items
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, with care and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations
• Support the ordering and management of kitchen supplies and stock levels
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient service
• Keep work areas clean, organised and well maintained
• Assist with the training and support of junior kitchen team members when required

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in creating a positive start to our guests’ day.

As our Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring food is presented attractively and served with care. Your work will help guests feel nourished, relaxed and ready for the day ahead.
