Job Description:

The Breakfast Chef will report to the sous chefs and will lead and run the breakfast section of the kitchen. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing commis and demi chef de parties, assisting sous chefs in food preparation and service, and ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of equipment and utensils according to hotel standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the breakfast kitchen section, maintaining production, service, and hygiene standards.
  • Follow procedures, methods, and recipes as outlined in communication.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food, equipment, and dry goods.
  • Coordinate with sous chefs on stock ordering and deliveries.
  • Train demi chefs, commis chefs, and apprentices to uphold standards.
  • Contribute to the development of dishes for all outlets, maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in projects aimed at kitchen improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, visitors, and staff about services.
  • Respond promptly to the needs of guests, staff, and visitors.

Additional responsibilities include covering for absent line managers or senior staff and performing other duties as assigned, potentially in different departments or restaurants.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience providing high service levels under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and maintain professionalism.
  • Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when needed.
