Job summary

Homewood is a 32-bedroom boutique hotel and spa near Bath, inviting you to bring your whole self to a Breakfast Chef role. This part-time post asks for Sundays and Mondays, with a culture that celebrates individuality and teamwork.

You’ll be part of a zesty, imaginative team that values service, quality, and a bloody good time. Prepare and cook breakfasts to a high standard, help ready the kitchen for service, and work with both kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy kitchen is desirable.
• Able to stay organized when multiple breakfast orders arrive.
• Takes pride in the food you send out and maintains standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking breakfasts to a consistently high standard.
• Getting the kitchen ready for breakfast service.
• Cooking everything from the classics to Homewood breakfast dishes.
• Presenting food beautifully and ensuring timely service.
• Keeping your section clean and ready for service.
• Following food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Working closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Assisting with preparation and handover for the next service.

As Breakfast Chef what you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking breakfasts to a consistently high standard
• Getting the kitchen ready for breakfast service
• Cooking everything from the classics to our Homewood breakfast dishes
• Making sure food is presented beautifully and leaves the kitchen on time
• Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service
• Following food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures
• Working closely with the wider kitchen and front of house teams
• Helping with preparation and handover for the next service

What we’re looking for

You’ll have strong practical horticultural knowledge and experience looking after substantial gardens, grounds or an estate.

You’ll also be comfortable leading people, planning workloads and taking responsibility for your own department.

We’d particularly love to hear from you if you :

• Enjoys working in a busy kitchen
• Can stay organised when several breakfast orders land at once
• Takes pride in the food you send out
• Is reliable – particularly as this is a fixed Sunday and Monday role
• Works well as part of a team
• Brings a positive attitude to the kitchen
