Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Breakfast Chef for our 5* hotel in Aberdeenshire. You'll be surrounded by a team with a creative flair and a passion for fresh food and excellent service, with a desire to learn and grow. All strive to go beyond for guests, our team, and the community.

Duties:

  1. Cooking and Managing Breakfast Service: Oversee the preparation and cooking of breakfast dishes, ensuring guests receive a delicious and memorable meal.
  2. Food Preparation: Undertake a varied list of food preparation tasks daily, ensuring all mise-en-place is freshly prepared and on time.
  3. Kitchen Setup and Cleanup: Set up the kitchen before breakfast service and clean down after, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
  4. Stock Management: Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions and assist with inventory management.
  5. Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet the correct recipe and quantity, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  6. Guest Interaction: Collect feedback from guests during breakfast and report any complaints or issues to the Executive Chef.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations, treating all staff with fairness and courtesy.
  8. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to health & safety policies and regulations, including HACCP and other legislation.
  9. Menu Development: Assist in producing menus and new dishes, staying updated on breakfast trends and innovations.
  10. Time Management: Handle pressure calmly and professionally, especially during busy periods, ensuring timely and efficient dish delivery.
