Position Summary

As Chef de Partie, you will assist the Sous Chef in maintaining quality, consistency, and production in your kitchen area. You will demonstrate culinary talent by performing tasks, leading staff, and managing food functions. Your role includes improving guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to budget and food safety standards. You will also develop and train your team to enhance results.

Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails

  • Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of all dishes.
  • Serve food in appropriate portions, maintaining presentation standards.
  • Inform service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
  • Prepare hazardous foods at correct temperatures following HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and safety procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Follow food safety policies, including FIFO, dating, labeling, cleaning, and storage organization.
  • Ensure food quality and notify management of any issues.
  • Monitor food quantities and portions to control waste and ensure quality.
  • Coordinate with the team during busy periods for optimal service.
  • Operate kitchen appliances to prepare foods.
  • Check and report appliance and food temperatures and equipment issues.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service.
  • Prepare cold foods like salads, sandwiches, and dressings.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
  • Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
