Job summary

Genuine Dining is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our team at the Point of Ayr Gas Terminal Talacre. The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30, with a starting salary from £26,000. You will prepare and cook dishes to menu standards, manage your station, and ensure food safety and quality in a high-demand kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes to recipes and standards while ensuring food safety.
• Station Management – oversee production at your station and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality, presentation and taste across dishes.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with team members and support colleagues.
• Menu Development – assist head chef in developing and tasting new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen and equipment clean and well-maintained.
