Job summary

The Genuine Dining Co. is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. Based at Point of Ayr Gas Terminal Talacre, CH8 9RD, you will work Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30, delivering high-quality breakfast dishes and maintaining kitchen standards.

You will prep, cook and coordinate station work, ensuring food safety and presentation. We offer strong training, development opportunities and a supportive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Works according to BaxterStorey core values.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards; ensure food safety.
• Station Management – oversee production for your station and maintain cleanliness.
• Quality Control – uphold high quality, presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with team members.
• Menu Development – assist in developing and tasting new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep designated area clean and equipment functional.
