Based inNormanton, we supply equipment all over the UK (and now into Northern Ireland!), from vehicle-mounted cherry pickers to clients inPower, Telecommunications, Local Authorities, Utilities, and other infrastructure sectors. We specialise in modern 3.5t–7t and 4×4 vehicles fromVersaliftandCPL, so you’ll be at the heart of some exciting operations every day!

What we’re looking for:

We need someone with a sharp eye for detail, a can-do attitude, and the ability to think on their feet. As aBreakdown Controller, you’ll be the go-to problem solver, keeping our vehicles moving and our customers happy. You’ll need to work well independently, but also be a team player – liaising with garages, customers, and internal teams like Fleet, Hire Desk, and Operations.

What you’ll do:

• Take breakdown calls and find solutions by coordinating with suppliers and engineering support.
• Keep customers updated via phone/email with progress reports on vehicle repairs.
• Minimise vehicle downtime and escal ...
• Raise purchase orders, process recharges, and liaise with Accounts on billing queries.
• Work closely with Finance, Workshop, and Sales to keep things running smoothly.
• Keep accurate and detailed records inSyrinx.
• Always maintain professional, friendly, and courteous communication with customers and colleagues.
• Cover out-of-hours rota (additional pay applies).
• Any other ad-hoc duties to keep the operation ticking along.

What you’ll bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Super organised with strong planning skills and attention to detail.
• Confident with Microsoft Office.
• Customer service experience (essential).
• Vehicle knowledge is a bonus, but not essential.
• A problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Great interpersonal skills – you’ll be working with lots of different people!
