Job summary

Kingsbury High School is seeking a dedicated brass teacher to deliver high-quality lessons and lead ensembles. The role involves preparing students for ABRSM/GCSE exams and supporting brass groups and pit bands across the school.

You will work with a peripatetic team to keep music at the heart of the school culture, with emphasis on student development and participation in school events.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching brass instruments to secondary school students (desirable).
• Essential expertise on trumpet and a range of brass instruments.
• Degree in Music/Brass Performance, Grade 8 or a professional qualification.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one before start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality brass lessons to students across lower and upper brass.
• Prepare students for graded examinations (ABRSM, GCSE) and ensemble performances.
• Lead or assist with school brass groups, band rehearsals, and pit bands.
• Track student development and provide constructive feedback.
