Job summary

Internationalschools at Claremont School in Hastings is seeking a Peripatetic Music Teacher of Brass to deliver high-quality individual brass lessons, identifying development areas and implementing strategies to realise students' potential.

The role is part-time, zero-hours, reporting to the Head of Creative Faculty. You will liaise with staff, plan engaging sessions, support performances and contribute to the school's vibrant music life across year groups.

Qualifications

• Substantial peripatetic instrumental teaching experience.
• Proven performance experience (solo or ensemble).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to design individualised lessons and monitor progress.
• Strong teamwork and a flexible, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging individual instrumental lessons.
• Teach and deliver individual/small group music sessions and ensure progress.
• Provide feedback on student performance and skills.
• Prepare students for examinations and auditions.
• Engage students in co-curricular music opportunities across the year.
• Attend school events and support whole school music activities.
• Adhere to health, safety and safeguarding requirements.
