To lead the marketing function and cross-functional matrix team to define, develop, and deliver the brand strategy and tactical operation plans, achieving defined metrics and reaching annual sales targets by optimizing the use of promotional resources once marketing authorization is granted.

Brand Leadership
  • Lead the development and execution of the brand plan that aligns with the global strategy while adapting to local insights and dynamics
  • Represent the UK Affiliate with Global and Area marketing teams
  • Communicate strategy and performance to senior local and global leadership
  • Manage marketing budget allocation and overall budget
  • Lead the marketing team including personal development and performance management
  • Create a cross-functional team culture fostering the AbbVie way of working
  • Coach team members to reach their potential
  • Develop team members through stretch assignments to build skills and experience
  • Exhibit executive presence to influence cross-functionally and deputize for the Business Unit Manager when needed
  • Utilize market research to uncover known unknowns and provide insights to address challenges
  • Synthesize data into insights to inform brand strategy
  • Lead brand strategy formulation using diverse data sets in collaboration with the cross-functional team
  • Communicate the strategy and vision effectively within the organization
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the product, indications, therapeutic area, NHS ecosystem, and brand performance data
Execution
  • Develop and implement innovative brand strategies to overcome ecosystem barriers
  • Recommend strategic actions aligned with performance metrics and KPIs
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key external stakeholders, including experts and advocacy groups
  • Ensure operational excellence in executing the brand plan, refining KPIs and tracking performance
  • Enhance the operating rhythm, strategy, and capabilities of the team by integrating latest technology and insights
