Job summary

Dundee Science Centre is looking for a Marketing Assistant to support raising its profile, engaging audiences and delivering our mission of making science accessible for all. You will work with senior colleagues to create engaging, brand-focused content for social media and digital channels, and help prepare promotional materials for events and partnerships.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or early-career marketers with creativity, organization and a desire to learn.

Qualifications

• Essential Marketing or related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience scheduling social content and reviewing channel performance.
• Experience in graphic design, content writing, campaign delivery or presenting ideas.
• Knowledge of social platforms and digital content creation/editing.
• Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud for content creation.
• Understanding of CMS, Google Analytics, and digital advertising basics.
• Willingness to develop digital skills through CPD.
• Experience gathering audience feedback and using it to improve activity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule brand-focused content for social media and digital channels.
• Support marketing campaigns for visitor experiences, events and partnerships.
• Prepare promotional materials and identify new audience connections.
• Monitor customer feedback across platforms and share themes with colleagues.
• Assist with market research, gather campaign results and contribute to reports.
• Provide broad marketing support across content creation, events and PR.
