As a proud B‑Corp we focus on using business as a force for good. We do this by balancing people and planet with profit. For every Mindful Chef recipe box bought we donate the equivalent of a school meal to a child in a less developed country (over 20 million meals donated and counting…) and we have also pledged to go Net Zero by 2030 but there are so many other initiatives that we would love to tell you about!

What We Are Looking For

This is a 12‑month industry placement opportunity designed for students currently undertaking an undergraduate degree with a placement year requirement.

Role Overview

As Brand Assistant, you will be working at the heart of the Brand Team, supporting PR, content, digital platforms and ambassador programmes. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across all areas of brand execution, from campaign planning to on‑shoot support building real‑world marketing experience within a fast‑growing food brand.

This role is ideal for an organised, curious and proactive student who wants a genuine behind‑the‑scenes view of how brands operate commercially.

  • Brand Campaign & Project Support
  • Campaign Management: Assist in the execution of quarterly Brand & Trade initiatives, including submitting creative briefs on time and ensuring all collateral meets strict brand standards.
  • Brand Standards: Serve as a key internal brand champion, helping to ensure brand guidelines are followed consistently across all production and communication activities (e.g., printed materials, internal comms).
  • Asset Management: Help maintain organised brand documentation and asset libraries for easy retrieval by marketing, design, and external teams.
  • Public Relations (PR) Support: Provide day‑to‑day PR assistance, including managing and responding to media image requests from external partners and journalists.
  • Ambassador Coordination: Support content planning and coordination with key ambassadors (e.g., The Gut Health Doctor) across social media channels and blog platforms.
  • Gifting Logistics: Manage the end‑to‑end process of gifting initiatives for both the PR team and the ambassador programme (including the Mindful Chef Supper Club).
  • Digital Content Management: Manage and update website banners and Hubspot content pages to maintain crucial brand and campaign consistency across digital platforms.
  • Shoot Support: Provide reliable on‑site operational support during photo and video shoots for brand content, partners, and ambassadors, including prop ordering and inventory.
  • Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact and link between the marketing team and the kitchen/operational teams, ensuring clear, consistent communication regarding new product launches or campaigns.

  • Gain practical experience across PR, brand campaigns and content production
  • Learn how branding works in a commercial food business
  • Build confidence working with creators, partners and internal teams
