ARCO, the UK's leading health and safety expert, invites applications for a part-time Branch Sales Advisor at our Stoke-on-Trent branch. The role involves a mix of in-store customer service, handling enquiries by phone and email, and occasional deliveries. Hours are flexible within opening times and can lead to future progression.

You will interact with customers, promote products, and maintain a welcoming store environment. Full UK driving licence is required for cover deliveries.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding levels of customer service in-store and remotely.
• Interact with customers in-store, on the phone and during visits to promote products and services.
• Maintain a clean, presentable store environment that reflects Arco standards.
• Process customer transactions using the company's IT software and respond to inquiries.
• Cover branch deliveries and visits, driving a van when required to cover holidays or sickness.

About The Role

Are you looking for a part-time role in retail working 20 hours per week?

If this sounds like the ideal role for you, we have a great opportunity available at our Stoke branch! The role offers flexibility over which days and times you work, with hours to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Working hours must fall within our opening times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, and Saturday, 08:00 to 12:00.

This isn't your standard Retail role as you'll be doing much more than standing behind a checkout! You'll be given the opportunity to get involved in a variety of tasks including contacting and visiting customers to promote our products and services, responding to customer queries in-store and over email and ensuring we have a store to be proud of.

Don't worry if you don't know much about the health and safety industry or personal protective equipment (PPE), as we'll teach you all there is to know, and provide you with a platform to learn, develop and grow. This role can lead to future progression within Arco.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering outstanding levels of customer service
• Interacting with our customers, in store, on the phone and on customer visits, to promote our products and services
• Providing a great shopping environment for our customers ensuring our stores are clean, tidy and presentable - a store we can be really proud of
• Processing customer transactions and responding to customer enquiries using our bespoke IT software
• Drive a commercial van to visit customer sites with deliveries to cover holidays and sickness

The ideal Branch Sales Advisor will be/have:

• Full UK Drivers Licence is required to help cover branch deliveries
• Experience of working face to face with customers, preferably in a retail environment (not a requirement)
• An understanding of what makes a great customer experience
• Be comfortable making promotional calls to business customers
• An understanding of IT systems to process transactions and respond to customer enquiries
• Flexibility to cover colleague shifts (team absence, holidays)
