Job summary

LKQ Europe in Poole is seeking a Branch Assistant to join our busy branch. You will blend customer deliveries, warehouse tasks and branch support to keep customers satisfied and operations smooth. Deliveries, counter service and stock handling are all part of the role.

You’ll build strong relationships with customers, work as part of a friendly team and receive full training to develop your multi-skilled capabilities. Experience in logistics or driving is helpful, but full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using handheld devices or warehouse systems.
• Flexible, reliable and team-focused approach.
• Experience in automotive, retail or logistics advantageous but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support every aspect of the branch operation to deliver excellent service.
• Deliver products safely, accurately and on time.
• Build positive relationships with customers and represent the business professionally.
• Support Click & Collect customers and assist at the trade counter.
• Help resolve customer queries and contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders.
• Assist with goods receiving, stock movements and dispatch.
• Maintain stock accuracy through daily stock checks and inventory procedures.
• Support stock takes and ensure products are stored safely and correctly.
• Maintain shelf availability and warehouse organisation.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure company vehicles are roadworthy.
• Use delivery technology, including ePOD systems and handheld devices.
• Drive safely and promote a safety-first culture.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Handle stock to minimise damage and maintain quality.
• Complete mandatory training and compliance activities.
• Support branch audits and governance.
• Attend daily team briefings and contribute ideas to improve branch performance.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the branch.
• Support continuous improvement by delivering operational and customer service targets.
• Develop skills through training to become a multi-skilled team member.
