Reporting Lines: Head of Planning & Allocation

Job Purpose

Working in the Planning & Allocation team, your main objective will be to manage your team and be responsible for optimizing trade opportunities by supporting stores with sufficient stock levels, ensuring optimum availability. You will be responsible for building capability within the planning & allocation team by ensuring individual development and training needs are met.

You will be a commercially aware individual with previous experience in a comparable merchandising/supply chain role, possessing the ability to quickly understand systems and processes, along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a Planning & Allocation forward plan that meets specific channel commercial performance requirements.
• Identify, build, and maintain key internal/external stakeholder relationships to deliver an ongoing optimal stock position.
• Analyse store performance to ensure optimal stock support to drive sales and manage store stock levels accordingly.
• Identify and own key sales volume forecasts at the channel level, in collaboration with buying and marketing teams for new ranges, seasons, and promotions.
• Work with the Head of Planning & Allocation to ensure effective and accurate planning of inbound/outbound stock flow, reflecting range and promotional changes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure system development changes are effectively tested and implemented.
• Partner with Retail Operations, area, and store managers to support stores in achieving sales targets and to address issues and opportunities.
• Participate proactively in personal development, demonstrating drive and enthusiasm to achieve career goals.
• Coach and mentor the team to deliver with confidence and competence.
• Perform other ad hoc duties such as analysis and reporting as requested by your line manager.
