Job summary

Leeds Building Society Kendal Branch is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a team, ensure compliant operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will drive performance, motivate staff and manage risk while delivering positive outcomes for our members.

The role requires experience in retail or financial services, a strong emphasis on customer conversations, and the ability to use data and systems to improve branch performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and motivating teams in retail or financial services.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and guiding members in financial conversations.
• Resilience and judgement to handle challenging situations and vulnerable customers.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution and team-building skills.
• Solid understanding of FCA rules and Consumer Duty related to savings, mortgages and insurance.
• Comfort using performance data and new systems to optimise branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kendal Branch to operate compliantly and efficiently.
• Develop and coach a high-performing team to meet branch objectives.
• Motivate colleagues to deliver outstanding service and positive customer outcomes.
• Ensure compliant administration of the Branch and accurate record-keeping.
• Utilise data and systems to drive continuous improvement in branch operations.

As our Branch Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in our Kendal Branch. You will ensure that the branch operates in a compliant and efficient way through the development of an effective high performing team. By motivating colleagues to succeed and exceed branch objectives, you will ensure compliant administration of the Branch. • Strong communication, conflict resolution and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.


• Understanding of FCA rules, Consumer Duty and relevant financial products such as savings, mortgages and insurance.


• Confidence using performance data, Microsoft 365 tools and new systems to support effective branch operations and continuous improvement.


• Ownership and accountability for delivering objectives, applying learning and meeting operational expectations.
