Job summary

Calibre8 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Branch Manager for a UK distributor specialising in Fluid Power, Hydraulics and Pneumatics. You will lead a small branch team and oversee stock, orders and daily operations to ensure smooth performance.

The ideal candidate has hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge and prior branch/managerial or sales leadership experience. A hands-on, driven professional who can start quickly is preferred. UK-based role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Hydraulics and/or Pneumatics is required.
• Previous Branch/Managerial or sales leadership experience is desirable.
• Hard-working, self-motivated and good people skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Run the branch and manage 5 people including a Field Sales Representative, Office Admin, Stores Supervisor and 3 Store staff.
• Involve in stock takes, ordering stock and overall branch operations to keep things running smoothly.
• Branch sales split: Hydraulics 40%, Pneumatics 60% with components such as valves, cylinders, fittings and hoses.
• Engage with OEMs and End Users as well as MRO End Users.
• Turnover last year was £900k–£1 million; aim to maintain and grow turnover.

The role:

• As the Branch Manager you will be running the branch and managing 5 people including a Field Sales Representative, Office Admin person, Stores Supervisor and 3 Store people
• You will be involved in stock takes, ordering stock, managing the branch and making sure everything is running smoothly
• The branch is involved in selling Hydraulics 40% and Pneumatics 60% - mainly components such as Valves, Cylinders, Couplings, Tubes, Hoses, Fittings etc…
• The branch deals with some OEM’s & End Users as well as a lot of MRO End Users
• The branch turned over £900k-£1million last year and they are looking to maintain and grow the turnover

The ideal person:

• Ideally someone with experience of Hydraulics and Pneumatics or at least 1 of the 2
• MUST have some fluid power knowledge
• Experience as a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Sales Manager, Internal Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Field Sales Representative and similar would be considered
• Hard working, driven, self motivated, good people person, able to hit the ground running
