Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants in Carmarthen is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to take full responsibility for the efficient, profitable, and customer-focused running of our branch. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will lead by example, driving performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding results.

This role oversees day-to-day operations, develops the team, builds relationships with customers and suppliers, drives sales growth, manages stock and merchandising, and

• Proven management experience in a builders’ merchant, retail, or trade environment.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.

• Manage purchasing, stock control, and merchandising to maximise efficiency and minimise wastage.
• Deliver against financial targets, ensuring strong cash flow and profitability.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, compliance, and company policy throughout the branch.
• Support staff through recruitment, induction, training, and regular performance reviews.
