Job summary

Flowtech, via Thorite, is opening a new branch in Skelmersdale and seeks a commercially driven, technically credible Sales Manager to build the customer base and shape local strategy. You will grow revenue, lead a team as the branch develops, and enjoy real autonomy with backing from Flowtech.

Ideal candidates are experienced in technical industrial sales, comfortable face‑to‑face with customers, and able to identify opportunities for profitable growth in pneumatics or related fields.

Qualifications

• Commercial acumen with a track record of growing sales.
• Experience in pneumatics, compressed air, fluid power or industrial sales preferred.
• Full UK driving license essential.
• Ability to recruit and lead a sales team as the branch grows.

Responsibilities

• Grow a successful and profitable branch.
• Shape how the branch develops.
• Identify local opportunities and develop new business across the territory.
• Win accounts and manage existing customer relationships.
• Increase spend with existing customers.
• Visit customers to identify opportunities and prepare quotations.
• Follow opportunities through to order and drive margin.
• Provide technical product advice and solutions.
• Manage day‑to‑day branch operations and stock with suppliers.
• Develop local sales and growth strategy.
• Recruit and lead additional sales colleagues as the branch expands.
