Job summary

Nationwide in Chesterfield seeks a Customer Representative to support customers in-branch, over the phone and online. This permanent role is full-time (35 hours/week, Monday to Saturday) with a 45-minute commute requirement and a start date after offer.

You’ll help with everyday banking, guide customers to digital tools, and contribute to a high-quality customer experience. Training begins promptly, with long-term benefits and a strong focus on community banking.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Comfort with digital tools and assisting customers with online banking.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to provide trusted help.
• Process transactions accurately while prioritising customer security and fairness.
• Explain banking products and services and guide customers to suitable options.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high service levels during busy times.
• Follow processes, identify issues, and escalate where needed to protect customers.
• Maintain a welcoming, helpful branch environment and support fair, face-to-face banking.
