This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and making a positive impact within their local community.

No two days will be the same! From providing practical and emotional support to families, to organising exciting activities and community events, you'll play an important role in bringing families together and ensuring they have access to the support they need.

Branch Coordinator Key Responsibilities
  • Providing practical and emotional support to families navigating the challenges of raising children with additional needs or disabilities.
  • Organising and coordinating family activities, coffee mornings, community events and outings.
  • Building strong relationships with families, volunteers and local support organisations.
  • Working alongside schools, local authorities, social services and other professionals to help families access appropriate support.
  • Offering guidance and signposting families towards relevant services, including educational support and benefits advice.
  • Supporting and coordinating a dedicated team of volunteers.
  • Assisting with community events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Managing branch administration, maintaining accurate records and ensuring activities run smoothly.

We're looking for someone who is naturally caring, approachable and organised, with a genuine passion for supporting children and families.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience supporting families with disabled children, additional needs or within a similar care, education or support environment.
  • A relevant regulated Level 3 qualification in childcare, Early Years or a related field.
  • GCSE Maths or English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
  • A compassionate, patient and non-judgemental approach when supporting vulnerable families.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
  • Good IT skills, including experience using databases or CRM systems.
  • An understanding of social media and digital communication.
  • Access to your own transport, as occasional travel within the community will be required.

Experience working within the charity or voluntary sector, or knowledge of fundraising platforms, would be advantageous.

We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with personal experience of raising or caring for a child with additional needs or disabilities.

Branch Coordinator Benefits
  • Hours: 16 hours per week, with flexibility around working patterns.
  • Location: Milton Keynes - a combination of home working and community-based activities.
