The position offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern (8:00am–4:30pm) with a starting pay of £14.00 per hour and scope for a temp-to-perm progression in a local, skilled team.

Brake Press Operator / Machinist

About the RoleWe are recruiting for a Brake Press Operator / Machinist to join a well-established British manufacturer based in Buckfastleigh. Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for operating brake press machinery, producing high-quality components to specification, and supporting efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

About You

Essential:

• Previous brake press operating or machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment

Desirable:

• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication
• CNC brake press experience
• Previous engineering or manufacturing background
