Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Brake Press Operator for a longstanding client based in Bedford.

Job Overview

• Operate the Trumpf CNC Brake Press and support the production team in machinery operation, folding, punching, and sheet metal preparation.

Responsibilities

1. Operate the CNC brake press as part of the sheet metal production process.
2. Set up the machine based on material type and thickness, load programs, and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
3. Monitor and record the fill level of the bulk gas storage system daily.
4. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
6. Pay close attention to detail and focus on assigned tasks.
7. Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
8. Comply with all Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating brake presses or similar CNC machinery.
• Interest in engineering and fabrication.
• Knowledge of different materials and their identification.
• Flexible work approach.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Reside within a commutable distance of Bedford.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm.
• Employer pension scheme contributing 8%.
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
