Qualifications

About the Role

As a key part of our Manufacturing Team, you will be involved in manufacturing and detailing composite panels up to 9m in length to a high standard of quality.

You will be responsible for the manufacturing of panels/components as detailed within Land Systems work instructions, engineering drawings, work requests, verbal instructions, and internal/external processes and procedures. This includes certification of your work when applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plywood cutting
  • Foam cutting
  • Assembly activities
  • Detailing of panels
  • Following written instructions or working to drawings
  • Working as part of a team
  • Using online booking system for job tickets
  • Working to budget and identifying related issues
  • Assisting line supervision in supervising Apprentices/Trainees when required

Capability

  • Ability to communicate work progress to peers and managers
  • Able to build good team relationships

Experience/Technical Competence:

  • Experience in manufacturing/fabrication or equivalent trade is preferred but not essential
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is required
  • Experience in composite panel manufacture is preferred
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Understanding and experience in manufacturing and assembly processes and techniques is preferred
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S techniques
  • Awareness of health and safety, fire, and environmental policies
