Job summary

HR Employment are recruiting for a Machine Operative in Pershore. You’ll set and operate a Brake Press to produce parts to exact technical drawings. The role offers immediate starts on a temp-to-perm basis following a successful interview.

You’ll verify machine settings, maintain safety standards and keep your workspace tidy. Essential experience includes Brake Press and Laser machine operation, reading drawings and using gauges. A team-based environment with opportunities to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience setting and operating Brake Press
• Minimum 1 year experience forming various sizes & thicknesses of blanks
• Minimum 2 years' experience setting and operating a Laser machine
• Understanding of mechanical production techniques
• Be able to use accurately: tape measure, micrometre, verniers and other go/no-go gauges
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Competence to accurately read and interpret drawings and setting data
• Ability to work as part of a team and learn new skills

Responsibilities

• Set and operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts to technical drawings and instructions
• Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm tolerances and machine functions
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine
• Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
• Organize work area before and after parts are processed
