Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Community Treatment Centre for Brain Injury. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support individuals at home and in the community, delivering rehabilitation programmes and helping maximise independence.

The role offers full-time, permanent working patterns at Gartnavel Hospital sites, with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, social care or community settings.
• Proven ability to support goal attainment and independence.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with acquired brain injury to achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver delegated rehabilitation programmes in clients' homes, community settings and at the centre.
• Support daily living skills, community access, travel management and confidence building.
• Observe and report changes in progress and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with families and partner agencies.
• Contribute to a high-quality, person-centred rehabilitation service within an interdisciplinary team.
• Support service activities including administration and data recording.
