Job summary

Northern Lifetime Limited is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a man in his 30s in his own home in Sheffield and in the community. You will provide daytime, evening and overnight support, assist with light domestic duties, and help with personal care on a prompting basis.

A full UK driving licence and DBS clearance are required. The role includes varied local trips, such as shopping, arcade visits, and occasional outings to parks or other attractions.

Qualifications

• You must be able to read information contained in reports, and present information clearly when communicating with the team via emails and reports.
• You must have the ability to work on your own unsupervised, or as part of a team.
• You must have a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver.
• You must be prepared to have business class insurance on your own vehicle to use for work purposes.
• To have a knowledge or level of understanding around Brain Injury

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with our client in his home and in the community.
• Enable participation in recreational activities such as cafes, theme parks, and seaside trips.
• Carry out light domestic duties like vacuuming, washing, ironing, cooking and cleaning.
• Provide daytime, evening and overnight support on weekends within a 24-hour package.
• Offer occasional cover for staff holidays and sickness.
• Follow the case manager's guidance and support plan.
• Attend training and supervision as arranged.
• Maintain client confidentiality and liaise with family and professionals as required.
• Provide daily prompts to assist with personal care and domestic activities.
• Accompany the client on holidays and weekends away when required.
