Boxing Coach – Alternative Provision (SEMH Support)

Location: Burgess Hill

Salary: £120.25 – £130 per day

Contract: Temporary to Permanent Opportunities

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are seeking an enthusiastic Boxing Coach to join an Alternative Provision in Burgess Hill, supporting pupils aged 11–14 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a unique opportunity to use the power of sport to engage, inspire, and build resilience in young learners who may struggle in mainstream education.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading engaging boxing sessions to promote fitness, discipline, and self‑confidence
  • Supporting pupils to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and achieve personal goals
  • Working closely with teaching and support staff to create a safe, structured, and motivating environment
  • Acting as a positive role model for young people, helping them develop respect, resilience, and teamwork
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in coaching boxing (qualification desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to connect with young people with SEMH needs and build trusting relationships
  • A patient, calm, and consistent approach to managing behaviour
  • Enthusiasm to make learning and personal development fun and engaging
