Job summary

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking registered nurses to join our expanding Specialist Screening Practitioners team within the Surrey Bowel Cancer Screening Programme based in Guildford. You will contribute to cancer prevention and patient care by delivering clinics (mostly via telephone) and supporting surveillance for Lynch syndrome, within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
• Experience in patient assessment and/or endoscopy.
• Ability to manage a target-driven clinical caseload independently.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• IT skills, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient clinics (primarily via telephone, with face-to-face consultations when clinically necessary).
• Manage patients throughout their screening pathway.
• Assess fitness for screening investigations.
• Support informed decision-making and act as a patient advocate.
• Provide support during endoscopy sessions and MDT meetings, including data collection.
