Job summary

ProTalent is recruiting a Client Bookkeeper in Bexhill-on-Sea to manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including VAT returns and CIS submissions. The role may involve payroll tasks and company secretarial duties as required, with a focus on maintaining strong client relationships and meeting deadlines.

You will join a friendly, supportive team in a practice known for its good working culture. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £32,000, with flexible working options and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or currently studying.
• At least 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks, Xero and other bookkeeping software.
• Confident managing client relationships and deadlines.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day bookkeeping for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• VAT returns and CIS submissions.
• Some involvement with payroll tasks.
• Company secretarial duties as required.
• Communicating with clients, HMRC, and other third parties.
