Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking two Bookkeepers to join our established accountancy practice, supporting a varied client portfolio with day-to-day bookkeeping and related accounting activities. The roles are based in Ipswich or Felixstowe.

This is a permanent position offering a salary range of £24,780 - £30,000 for full-time, with part-time pro-rata. You will prepare VAT returns, assist the accounts team, and progress toward managing a portfolio of regular bookkeeping clients.

Qualifications

• Previous work as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
• Broad bookkeeping experience is required.
• Experience limited to sales ledger work alone will not be suitable.
• VAT return preparation experience (Training can be provided).
• Experience using Xero is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing VAT returns, with training available where required
• Supporting the accounts team with specific client and internal projects
• Attending client premises occasionally when required
• Completing bookkeeping using a range of accounting software
• Progressing towards managing a portfolio of regular bookkeeping clients with support from colleagues
