Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Ability to complete reconciliations independently and accurately.
• Payroll processing experience is required.
• Experience with tax computations and P11Ds is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for managing a broad range of bookkeeping and finance duties, including:

• Managing Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers
• Processing payroll accurately and efficiently
• Completing bank and nominal ledger reconciliations
• Supporting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping requirements
• Assisting with general office administration when required
• Supporting Tax Computations and P11Ds (experience in these areas would be beneficial)

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice (essential)
• A strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• The ability to complete reconciliations independently and accurately
• Confidence using accounting software and Excel
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach

Bonus points if you have experience preparing Tax Computations and P11Ds.
