Job Vacancy: Radiology Booking Officer (Band 3)

Location: Chichester

Department: Radiology

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (occasional evening support may be required)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duration: Ongoing

An opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Booking Officer (Band 3) to join the Radiology Department at St Richards Hospital. This temporary position is ideally suited to a highly organised and motivated individual with a professional approach to patient care and administrative tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and book radiology appointments for patients via telephone and written correspondence
  2. Liaise effectively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure efficient scheduling
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using hospital systems
  4. Provide a courteous and efficient service to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  5. Perform general administrative duties in support of the Radiology team as required
Essential Criteria
  1. Previous experience in a healthcare administration or booking environment (desirable)
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  3. Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  4. Proficient in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  6. Flexible and willing to provide occasional support beyond core hours when necessary
