Placements24 is seeking an Apprentice Boilermaker with a focus on structural steel fabrication in Randburg. This hands-on training role covers construction, assembly, and repair of large metal structures, tanks, and pressure vessels, guided by skilled mentors.

You will develop blueprint reading, metal preparation, welding and fitting skills, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and long-term progression in the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• A strong mechanical aptitude and interest in metal fabrication and construction.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks, including working at heights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive training and adhere to program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior boilermakers in fabricating and assembling structural steel components.
• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings , plans, and specifications.
• Operate various tools and machinery for cutting, shaping, and fitting metal.
• Participate in welding and riveting processes as instructed.
• Adhere to rigorous safety standards and procedures in workshop and site environments.
