Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a Boiler Engineer (Field Based) to cover SE England, including Canterbury, Chatham, Dartford, Rochester and surrounding areas. The role is permanent and field-based with a company vehicle and regular travel to client sites.

You will install, service and maintain temporary heating and cooling plant, ensuring safety and high performance, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and compliance with codes of practice.

Qualifications

• Essential industry qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, ICAE1.
• Desirable: 18th Edition, OFTEC, F-Gas qualifications.
• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial heating/cooling plant.
• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across SE England.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission temporary heating and cooling systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Service heating and cooling systems ahead of delivery, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Communicate clearly with clients throughout, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, safety inspections and customer interactions, preparing reports as required.
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations, codes of practice and industry standards.
• Keep tools and equipment in proper working order, promptly reporting any maintenance or replacement needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Stay current with industry advancements and best practice relating to gas systems and appliances.

• Pay: Up to £47,000 basic + overtime (at 1.5x salary rate)
• Location: East Sussex / Essex / London / Kent, with field-based coverage across SE England

• Desirable: previous chiller experience
• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial heating and cooling plant
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
• A safety-first mindset, with a clear understanding of relevant codes of practice
• Comfortable working independently in the field and as part of a wider operations team
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across the SE England region
