Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a Boiler Engineer to cover Aldershot, Andover, Farnborough and surrounding areas. You will install, service and maintain temporary heating and cooling equipment at client sites across SE England, with a company vehicle provided and regular travel.

The role requires gas and HVAC qualifications, strong diagnostic skills and a safety-first mindset. Traveling across the SE region, you will work independently within an operations team and report on installs and inspections.

Qualifications

• Essential: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, ICAE1.
• Desirable: 18th Edition, OFTEC, F-Gas.
• Fully UK driving licence; travel across SE England.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission temporary heating and cooling systems to safety standards.
• Service heating and cooling systems before delivery and diagnose faults.
• Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and clear reporting.
• Maintain records of installations, inspections and customer interactions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Keep tools and equipment in good order and report needs.
• Respond quickly to emergencies in the field.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices for gas systems.

Boiler Engineer (Field Based) – Aldershot / Andover / Farnborough / Fleet / Guildford / Reading / Salisbury / Southampton / Winchester – up to £47,000 + Overtime

• Pay: £47,000 basic + overtime (at 1.5x salary rate)
• Location: Hampshire / Surrey, with field-based coverage across SE England
• Permanent

Our client is an established name in temporary plant hire, providing heating and cooling solutions to commercial and industrial customers across the UK. As demand across their SE England territory continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Boiler Engineer to join their operations team, installing, servicing and maintaining temporary heating and cooling equipment to the highest safety and performance standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Install and commission temporary heating and cooling systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
• Service heating and cooling systems ahead of delivery, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Communicate clearly with clients throughout, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, safety inspections and customer interactions, preparing reports as required
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations, codes of practice and industry standards
• Keep tools and equipment in proper working order, promptly reporting any maintenance or replacement needs
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
• Stay current with industry advancements and best practice relating to gas systems and appliances

Skills and Experience

• Essential qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, ICAE1
• Desirable: 18th Edition, OFTEC qualifications, F-Gas qualifications
• Desirable: previous chiller experience
• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial heating and cooling plant
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
• A safety-first mindset, with a clear understanding of relevant codes of practice
• Comfortable working independently in the field and as part of a wider operations team
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across the SE England region
