Job summary

Day’s Motor Group is seeking a Quality Controller in Swansea to oversee final checks after repairs and ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards. The role covers both recovery operations and post-repair inspections, including road-testing where required.

The successful candidate will verify that repairs are completed correctly, inspect paint and trim, and confirm all safety checks are completed before release, with a focus on vehicle cleanliness and defect reporting.

Responsibilities

• Recover damaged or non-roadworthy vehicles
• Complete vehicle condition checks on collection and delivery
• Transport vehicles safely and legally
• Keep the recovery vehicle clean and report any defects
• Carry out final vehicle quality checks before handover
• Check repairs have been completed correctly
• Inspect paintwork, panel fit, trim, and vehicle cleanliness
• Make sure all repaired systems and parts are working correctly
• Confirm required safety checks, wheel alignments, and calibrations are complete
• Road test vehicles when required
• Sign off completed repairs and identify any issues needing attention before release
