Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an Experienced Bodyshop Manager in Derby to oversee the day-to-day running of a high-standard accident repair bodyshop. You will lead a skilled team, drive productivity and ensure repairs meet quality and insurer standards.

The role offers Monday–Friday hours (08:30–17:00), no weekend work, and a salary up to £55,000 depending on experience, with ongoing training and development within a modern environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing an automotive accident repair bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of panel, MET and paint repair processes.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Commercial awareness with ability to manage resources and control costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the accident repair bodyshop and oversee vehicle throughput.
• Lead, motivate and develop the bodyshop team to high performance.
• Monitor workflow, repair times and quality to meet targets.
• Collaborate with Estimators, VDAs, Workshop Controllers and Technicians.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer methods, safety and quality standards.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and address issues professionally.
• Manage resources, equipment and capacity to maximise productivity.
• Communicate with wider business and identify improvement opportunities.
