Job summary

Pybus Recruitment is partnering with a highly successful automotive repair group to recruit an experienced Body Shop Manager for their busy site in Bishop's Stortford. You will lead a skilled team, manage day-to-day workshop operations and drive profitability while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a proven track record in body shop leadership, strong people management, and a deep understanding of repair standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Body Shop Manager, General Manager, or Senior Bodyshop Leader.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• A proven track record of delivering financial and operational performance.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of body shop processes, repair standards, and industry best practices.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of technicians, painters, MET technicians, estimators, and support staff.
• Oversee all aspects of workshop operations, productivity, and efficiency.
• Ensure repairs are completed to the highest quality standards and within agreed timescales.
• Manage budgets, costs, and profitability targets.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous business improvement.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong insurer and manufacturer relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
• Recruit, develop, and retain talented team members.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded leader to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a high-performing body shop. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving profitability, leading a skilled team, and ensuring operational excellence across the business.

The Role

As Body Shop Manager, you will:
