Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Boarding Matron to work alongside the Housemaster/Housemistress, providing pastoral care and supervising the welfare and safety of pupils.

You will manage daily routines, support medical/dietary needs, and liaise with parents, Health Centre and staff to maintain a tidy, well-run house. The role includes supervision of laundry, bed changes and attendance at weekly planning meetings.

Qualifikationen

• Genuine interest in working in a school environment.
• Experience in similar roles would be desirable.
• First aid training is provided or available.

Aufgaben

• Be the first point of contact with parents for daily domestic issues within the House.
• Manage the day-to-day routines of the House.
• Provide pastoral input as a 'parent figure' in the house.
• Help maintain discipline with College and House rules.
• Liaise with parents, Health Centre and Catering about medical/dietary needs.
• Oversee laundry, linen, and bed changes on a fortnightly basis.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Boarding/Logistics Manager.
• Support housekeeping and liaise with Catering, Cleaning, Maintenance and Grounds departments.
