Job summary

Malvern College is seeking a part-time House Assistant to support a boarding house with around 60 pupils aged 13 to 18. You will provide day-to-day pastoral care, assist with administrative tasks, and help run the house on weekends as part of a rota.

The role also involves involvement with catering, housekeeping and driving to appointments. You will work as part of a close house team, receive full training on software and systems used in the role, and contribute to safeguarding and student

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn a range of software packages.
• Caring, sensible approach to looking after young people.
• Good organisation and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Clear communication with pupils, colleagues and other departments.
• Ability to drive pupils to appointments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day pastoral care for pupils.
• Monitor pupils' health with the Medical Centre and support those who are unwell.
• Handle admin such as pupil registration, room plans and travel arrangements.
• Drive pupils to appointments when required and manage Leave Outs logistics.
• Oversee housekeeping, laundry staff and coordination with Domestic Bursar.
• Support house events and maintain a smooth running of the boarding house.
