Lancaster Royal Grammar School is seeking an additional Matron to join our boarding community as soon as possible for a fixed term until August 2027. The role is 36.25 hours per week, term time only, Monday–Friday on a shift rota.
The successful candidate will supervise pastoral care of pupils within the boarding house and provide medical care when required. Duties include basic laundry and repairs to clothing.

The successful candidate will be requiredto supervise the pastoral care of pupils within the boarding house as well as provide medical care when required and undertake basic laundry and repairs to clothing.
Flexibility within the role is essential. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential.
Salary for this role is based on Support Staff Grade 5 currently
By no later than Noon on Thursday 17th September 2026. It is anticipated that interviews will take place in the week commencing 21st September 2026.
