Job summary

SmartestEnergy, a pivotal business at SEBL, seeks a Finance Director and enterprise CFO to shape financial direction, resilience and long-term value. You will sit on the SEBL Board and ExCo, bridging commercial ambition with disciplined governance.

You will lead strategy, capital and risk decisions, ensuring reporting integrity and strong control while guiding major commercial and transformation initiatives across the Group.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience leading a multi-layered Finance function at board level.
• Strong governance, risk and financial-resilience focus.

Responsibilities

• Act as Finance Director and enterprise CFO on SEBL board and ExCo.
• Shape three-to-five year strategy and financial performance framework.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting integrity and control environment.
• Advise on regulatory, market, customer and competitive developments with scenarios.
• Own capital, liquidity and balance-sheet strategy.
• Define data/MI and KPIs for board decisions.
• Lead a matrix Finance organisation and talent strategy.
