Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment seeks a Finance Director for a multi-brand business with ~£17m turnover. You will lead the finance function, present to the board, manage cash flow, and shape strategy with commercial financial insight. The role operates from Kent and Nottingham, with flexible long-term location discussions as the company transitions.

You will oversee a small finance team, ensure robust controls, and partner with senior leaders to drive growth and governance across sites.

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience with proven track record.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent cash flow management experience.
• Experience presenting financial information to boards or senior leaders.
• Experience managing audit processes and external relationships.
• Strong communication to explain financials to non-finance stakeholders.
• Commercially aware, pragmatic and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function and daily operations.
• Support a small finance team including credit control and payroll staff.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the board.
• Monitor and manage company cash flow.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Translate strategy into financial forecasts and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on financial performance and priorities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit.
• Maintain sound controls and reporting processes.
• Build cross-business relationships to enable informed decisions.
