Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced BMS Service Engineer for a mobile role in the South of England. You will deliver service excellence, support system optimisation and upgrades, and ensure peak performance of building management systems across a diverse customer portfolio.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in BMS/automation, strong fault-finding skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• min 3 years' experience within BMS, Building Controls or Automation
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a customer-facing service environment
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
• Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems
• Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues efficiently
• Configuring and commissioning controllers and network-level devices
• Modifying software and maintaining accurate system documentation
• Producing service reports and recommendations
• Building strong customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
• Supporting upgrade and lifecycle projects
• Promoting OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance

The Role

As a BMS Service Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical expert for our customers, delivering service excellence and ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll support service delivery, system optimisation and future upgrade opportunities. This is a mobile role covering the South of England.
