Job summary

Out client in the Midlands is seeking a BMS Sales Engineer to identify and convert BMS opportunities across the commercial sector. You will work with clients, facilities managers, estates teams and contractors to understand requirements and propose suitable BMS solutions.

The role covers the full sales cycle from prospecting and site surveys to proposals, contract negotiations and securing new business, with a focus on energy optimisation and building performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop new BMS sales opportunities across the Midlands.
• Identify potential customers through relationships, networking, referrals and targeted business development.
• Build and maintain relationships with FM companies, building owners, facilities managers, M&E contractors and consultants; visit commercial sites to assess BMS installations and opportunities for upgrades.
• Carry out customer consultations and site surveys to understand technical requirements.
• Prepare accurate quotations, tenders, proposals and technical specifications.
• Develop solutions covering BMS upgrades, modifications, controls, energy optimisation and system replacements.
• Work with clients to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve building performance.
• Liaise with BMS manufacturers, suppliers, engineers and internal technical teams to develop suitable solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
• Present technical and commercial proposals to customers.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to maximise profitability.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
• Achieve agreed sales and gross-margin KPI's
